At the Carolina Population Center (CPC), we believe that understanding how and why populations change over time and vary across groups is key to advancing the well-being of all people. Our faculty, staff, and trainees conduct innovative and impactful research on population processes, health, and aging, considering how population dynamics interact with the social and physical environment. CPC scholars collect and share data, develop new population science approaches and methodologies, and disseminate findings that push the field forward and train the next generation of population scholars.
